This course allows supervisors and managers to gain important knowledge and skills in relation to dealing with mental health issues, suicidal ideation and substance abuse through facilitated discussion and case studies. This is a safe environment in which to gain these skills rather than the potential trial and error situation of dealing with real cases in your workplace.
This course follows on from our introductory course: Managing your employee’s mental health – for supervisors and managers. This advanced course is for individuals who have attended the introductory course or who have some pre-existing knowledge/ experience dealing with these issues in the workplace.
This course will help you to:
- Develop awareness regarding your legal obligations.
- Increase productivity and improve workplace culture by addressing mental health issues and by adopting preventative measures with your team.
- Reduce the real and hidden costs associated with mental health issues.
- Have the confidence to address concerns in a safe manner.
