“I commenced with Recovre in 2001 as an Injury Management Consultant. My previous 6 year work history was as a clinical Occupational Therapist. I was really ready for a change in my career path at this stage and came on board with Recovre with very little knowledge of the Worker’s Compensation system. So needless to say there was a massive learning curve when I began. I thoroughly enjoyed the new challenges and felt like I was really using more of my skills and in a different way. The extremely comprehensive and graded induction program at Recovre eased me into this new career path and I felt supported all of the way.
Since this stage I have been provided with many upward and sideward opportunities within The Recovre Group to further develop my career. These have included; senior consultant positions and mentoring new staff; project roles (such as Business Development projects); working within the Training & Consulting team to conduct training programs; covering in Manager roles (for annual and maternity leave periods) and now job sharing as the Training and Consulting Manager for Recovre Victoria.
This later position was developed by Recovre to accommodate 2 staff members both returning from maternity leave and only wanting to work part-time. I have now had 2 periods of maternity leave, both times returning on a part-time basis. Recovre has been extremely flexible in allowing me these opportunities, both to return to a job that I love and having quality family time."
