How do we start?

The first step is for you and your psychologist to form an understanding of what you want to achieve and make a plan that will guide further sessions.

What is counselling like?

Psychological counselling is an active, collaborative process that may involve completing tasks outside the sessions. This helps to ensure that your new skills become helpful habits and to minimise the risk of problems recurring in the future.

How long does counselling last?

Length of counselling varies, but your psychologist will suggest a certain number of sessions, often 6-8, after which you can review your progress and decide what comes next. At the end of counselling you will have the opportunity to summarise what you have achieved and make a plan for your next steps to make sure you keep the gains you have made. The Recovre Corp Psych team have many years of experience working in this way and all our psychologists comply with the highest ethical and professional standards.
